NBA YoungBoy Talk Show: Ahead of what promises to be another fruitful year for the Baton Rouge rap artist, NBA YoungBoy has teamed up with Amazon to establish his own radio show.

Details about YoungBoy’s radio show are scant, however on Thursday (December 8) the label Never Broke Again stated on their official Instagram page that the show would premiere on Amazon’s Amp app on Friday (December 9).

In March of 2022, Amazon released Amp to compete with services like Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces. With this software, users may broadcast their own live radio shows, complete with the ability to communicate with listeners in real time and play music from the catalogs of both large and indie record labels.

The app is available to anyone who wants to be a DJ or host, but Amazon has also hired some celebrities to host their own radio programs: Nicki Minaj (Queen Radio), Joe Budden (Music Lovers Only With Joe Budden), Pusha T (Snow Day Radio) and Lil Yachty (Boaty Radio) (The Boy With No Filter).

Black is the working title for YoungBoy’s upcoming fifth studio album, which will follow August’s The Last Slimeto. One of seven studio albums released by the Never Broke Again leader, who also released four solo mixtapes and two joint efforts with DaBaby and Quando Rondo.

The rapper had considered putting out ten albums in a single year, but it seems he has encountered a creative block. To what extent would it matter if I told you not till next year? YoungBoy posed the question to his YouTube subscribers last month. ‘Quando dropping the tape with me and him, but I ran out of rhymes, assist me?’

He signed with Motown Records in October following a “very aggressive” bidding battle, and this new record will be his first release for the label. The record label Atlantic Records, which YoungBoy said “blackballed” him earlier this year, was his home for five years.
