The gunman Jeffrey Spaide got viral after shooting the couple in the middle of the street over snow shoveling.

In 2021, the two neighbors were shot in the middle of the Hudson section of Plains Township in Pennsylvania.

What actually happened in the case? Is Jeffrey Spaide the real convicted person in the killing of two neighbors? Who made the video of Jeffrey Spaide, which got viral? Let’s find out.

What Happened In The Case?

In Pennsylvania, a convicted person–Jeffrey Spaide, pulled out his gun and fired on two people, James Goy and Lisa Goy, in the middle of the street.

One of the young boys. Gray Mitchell observed the entire scene and told the story to the media.

Mitchell recalled the entire scenario while sharing the shot scene; he added that he came up and saw Lisa lying on the road, and he exclaimed, ‘Oh, she must have fallen or slipped on the ice or something because the road was all icy and snowy.”

He said that when the couple was shot, my friend rushed to help the couple, who were shot multiple times by Jeffrey Spaide.

However, it could be seen in the video that Spaide walked back to his garage to get back a rifle at that moment.

When Spaide went to his carriage, Mitchell said that he ran to the side of the car and saw that he was covered in blood and panting in the air.

Then one of the neighbors called 911 and described the entire scenario, what had just happened before.

Mitchell added after calling 911; we heard another shot when we were down in the basement.

When Plains Township Police responded to the whole scenario, a gunman killed himself inside his home.

However, after the scenarios, the video got viral across social media platforms and other sites.

Why Was The Viral Video Of The Gunman Removed From Social Media Platforms?

For the first time, it can be heard the teenage boy helping his neighbor after being shot by a gunman.

Mitchell ran to help the couple who were just shot. He said that whatever happened went viral and was captured on the camera.

However, after getting viral on social media, many companies said to put it down for the respect and dignity of neighbors who were shot down.

So, to talk about it in detail for the shot, it was verbally asked by the young saw, who captured the entire scene.

While  talking in the interview, 16-year-old Gary Mitchel said, “We heard shots go off, but we didn’t necessarily know what it was.”

How Did The Video Get Leaked?

Mitchel said that We captured the whole scene and the kid who was with me texted me that the video got viral, and the kid said: “yo, the video got leaked.”

The video was captured from the neighbor’s house, and Mitchel said to Kid, “you are kidding me.”

The kid said no and sent him a link to watch the video; he later watched and tensed how someone could put his hands to viral the video on social media.

Then Michell went to the social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Wordstarhiphop, where the video was circulating seriously.

However, there were only two platforms, Facebook and YouTube, that responded to our request for comment.

What Were The Reactions Of Social Media Platforms After Watching The Violent Content?

The video was removed from Youtube and released a statement to Eyewitness News. Alex Joseph, a Youtube spokesperson, said,

There is no place on YouTube for this kind of violent content. We’ve spent the last several years investing in tools and policies to help us quickly remove content that violates our policies, such as machine learning technology that automatically detects over 90% of the videos we remove from YouTube before a human ever reports it to us.”

For the viral video, Facebook also stated that we do not want this content on Facebook and remove it when we become aware of it. We have removed the violating content from a surveillance camera and use technology to detect and remove copies and stop them from spreading.

Mitchell said to an interviewer that he first saw Jeffery with a gun in his hand while he was coming out of his home, and then, for the second time, I didn’t see him there.

Mitchell said about the video that went viral that it is better to talk about the content and scenario than to see the content in the video again and again.

What Did the Doctor Say?

On Sunday, Eyewitness News talked to Dr. Matthew Berger about the video.

Matthew is a psychiatrist, and he was asked about how people should deal and behave after watching a video, which has some violent and disturbing content, and how people should de-escalate the situation after watching abusive and disputed content.

The doctor said that there is no point in getting into escalating situations over honestly minor or trivial things, and the adults must settle down and walk away from these types of things.

He further added that one of the things we have learned is that a person wants to talk about it in a safe and secure setting, but then you want to try and let it go. He said, watching these types of videos over and over again doesn’t allow the normal coping mechanism of suppression to occur.
