The exclusive Brandon Tsay video of disarming the Monterey Park gunman has been making rounds on the internet.

After taking down the shooter in the Monterey Park shooting at a dance club in Alhambra, California, 26-year-old Brandon Tsay has been hailed as a hero.

His heroic actions were captured on camera by Tsay’s friend who shared the exclusive video online, where it has been viewed millions of times and earned Tsay praise from viewers around the world.

Many have noted his tremendous courage, as well as his great physical abilities as he managed to overpower the gunman with no weapon other than a barstool.

The video serves as a reminder to many that one can make a difference in any situation and is an inspiration to many looking for role models in today’s society.

Tsay told Lester Holt of NBC, “There was a moment I actually froze up because I was, I had the belief that I was going to die, like my life was ending here, at that very moment.”

Minutes after the shooter killed 11 people and injured at least nine more at the Lai Lai Ballroom & Studio in Alhambra, California, a man can be seen pulling a gun away and trying to stop further killings at a second dance hall in a video showing his disarming the suspect in the Monterey Park shooting.

In a terrifying video acquired by NBC, the men were shoving one other in what appeared to be the dance hall’s empty lobby.

An armed man wearing black clothing and a hat is wrestling with Tsay as the two struggle over the weapon around 30 seconds later. Tsay successfully takes the man’s gun during the ensuing pushing struggle.

Tsay was seen holding the weapon when the man hit him in the head. He finally pushes the man away after another conflict between the two. The man keeps reaching for the gun before giving up and leaving the room.

Tsay then points at the man while briefly vanishing from the camera’s view and reappearing, holding the gun in his right hand and a cell phone in his left. The whole incident lasted roughly four minutes.

The weapon is a semi-automatic assault handgun, according to the description.

Once Tsay finally obtained control of the gun, he had to threaten to shoot the man before he fled to the white van. Tsay immediately then called the police.

“I thought he would run away, but he was just standing there contemplating whether to fight or to run,” Tsay recalled.

“When he came in, he said nothing,” he said. “His face was very stoic. His expressions were mostly in his eyes — looking around trying to find people, trying to scout the area for other people.”

Tsay claimed that the shooter—later identified as Huu Can Tran, 72—entered the building and appeared to be planning more killings.

After a search that ended roughly 30 miles away, the shooter later passed tragically from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Sunday.

The reason behind the mass shooting on Saturday night is unknown. Authorities stated on Monday that it appeared to be personal.
