Aiden Fucci parents, Crystal Smith and Jason Fucci are in trouble after their son is accused of killing 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey.

Aiden Fucci, a 14-year-old teenager, has been charged with first-degree murder concerning the death of 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey.

The charge was upgraded from second-degree murder due to evidence indicating premeditation and the severity of the crime, which prompted the State Attorney’s Office to try Fucci as an adult.

Fucci will continue to be held without bail. The murder of Tristyn Bailey has been the subject of widespread media coverage over the past few weeks.

The crime occurred in the Durbin Crossing neighborhood where both Fucci and Bailey lived. Bailey was a student at Patriot Oaks Academy when her body was found in a wooded area near her house in northwest St. Johns County, near Jacksonville.

Clothing with traces of Bailey’s blood was discovered at Fucci’s home, and the presumed weapon, a hunting knife, was recovered in a nearby pond.

Fucci’s arrest report also cites the discovery of a security camera video that showed the two teens walking together early in the morning.

After collecting all the concrete evidence, Aiden Fucci was charged with the murder of Bailey.

Aiden Fucci’s parents appeared in court

Aiden Fucci’s parents, Crystal Smith and Jason Fucci were both present during a Zoom hearing in Florida on May 11, 2021.

Aiden was also in attendance, appearing before Judge Richard Orfinger at a detention center in Volusia county, dressed in a dark-colored sweater.

Following the murder case of Tristyn Bailey, information regarding Jason’s criminal history emerged.

On January 1, 2003, Jason was charged with child abuse, injury, and neglect. He was found guilty on November 17, 2004, and sentenced to serve one year and two months in prison.

In October of 2003, Jason was arrested for engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl at his residence and received a sentence of two years probation.

However, he violated the terms and was incarcerated for 14 months after receiving 158 days of credit.

During his October 2003 arrest, Jason was employed as a Robinson Irrigation worker in Jacksonville. In 2016, he was booked for battery after being involved in a physical altercation with a couple at a gas station while his son was present.

These details suggest that Jason might have had a traumatic childhood, which could have contributed to Aiden’s behavior.
